The torrent will fail a hash check if files where pieces boundaries landed are deleted from disk. Just use --file-allocation=none and the HDD wasted space will be greatly minimized.
A feature that probably has been around that I just discovered on uTorrent: Prioritize by File Order. Apparently if the files in a torrent have sequential names like episode numbers for seasons of tv shows, that feature will automatically set the priorities for the files with emphasis on the first couple of episodes so that they get finished first. To select multiple files do a (shift + left click) or (ctrl + left click) for more precise selection of files. Vuze / Azureus Click on Downloading and right click on the torrent. Select Show Details. Select the Files Tab. Select the file that you don't want to download. Right click on the selected file and select Set Priority and click Do Not. When I used to download torrents using the Green torrent icon, it would open in uTorrent with a breakdown of the file contents, allowing me to pick (tick the box) of which files I wanted to download. But with this new magnet link, it doesn't show me anything in uTorrent (at all).
